Come meet us at the Carter Burden Center for the Aging to help serve the elderly in our community. Junior volunteers will meet with a staff member at the center to learn about what it means to be a homebound senior. The children will then create handmade cards to deliver to the seniors alongside a healthy meal. All deliveries made will be on the Upper East Side in the neighborhood of the center. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. We hope you can join us as we give the gift of hospitality and companionship to people who truly cherish it. In turn, your child will receive the gift of satisfaction knowing that he/she has made a positive difference in the life of another person.
This event is suitable for children ages 4 to 12 of NYJL and non-NYJL members.
Registration is free of charge, but space is limited.
NOTE:
To register one or more children, please select "Yes" under the question "Will you be bringing guests?" below, and then specify (using the drop down menu next to "How many?") the number of children you would like to register.
